​Midlands State University (MSU) has officially opened its doors for the August 2026 intake.

Applications are now being invited for a wide array of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes across nine specialized faculties.

​Whether you are a high school leaver or a professional looking to upgrade your qualifications, here is everything you need to know about the application process, requirements, and deadlines.

​Available Faculties ​Prospective students can apply for programmes within the following faculties: ​Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources Management ​Arts and Humanities ​Built Environment, Art and Design ​Business Sciences ​Education ​Law (Including Masters and Diploma programmes) ​Engineering and Geosciences ​Science and Technology ​Social Sciences

​Important Note: Applications for the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Engineering and Geosciences must be submitted online only.

​Application Requirements ​To be considered for admission, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:

​At least five ‘O’ Level passes at Grade C or better. ​English Language is a mandatory requirement at ‘O’ Level. ​Relevant ‘A’ Level subjects or Diplomas depending on the chosen field of study.

​Fees and Payment Details

​The application fee is US$10 (or the ZiG equivalent at the prevailing interbank rate) for local applicants and USD$50 for international applicants. ​Payments should be deposited into the university’s accounts at ZB Bank, BancABC, or CBZ. Ensure you keep your original deposit slip, as it must accompany your completed application form.

​Key Deadlines and Orientation Dates ​Staying on top of these dates is crucial for a successful enrollment:

​March 31, 2026: Deadline for submission of applications for the Faculty of Engineering and Geosciences. ​July 18 & 19, 2026: Orientation for Harare Weekend School students (Undergraduate and Postgraduate). ​July 27, 2026: Orientation commences for all conventional students.
