NetOne Scraps Peak & Off-Peak Data Limits: Seamless Browsing Returns. In a move that will likely bring relief to thousands of subscribers, NetOne has announced the removal of Peak and Off-Peak browsing restrictions on all its data bundles.

According to a public notice released by the mobile network operator, users will no longer have their data split into daytime and late-night segments. This change allows for "seamless connectivity" where your data is usable at any time of the day or night without restriction.

The End of the "Night Data" Struggle Previously, NetOne’s popular "Mo’Gigs" bundles were split. For example, a user might have received 8GB for "Peak" usage (daytime) and 2GB for "Off-Peak" (usually between 1:00 AM and 7:00 AM).

While intended to manage network congestion, this structure often frustrated users who found themselves running out of daytime data while having gigabytes of "night data" expire unused. This move follows recent pressure from the Consumer Council of Zimbabwe (CCZ), which flagged the previous system as potentially unfair to consumers who could not realistically use data in the middle of the night.

What This Means for You Under the new system, when you buy a bundle, the total amount of data is yours to use whenever you want. You no longer need to check two different balances to see if you can afford that afternoon video call or download. This simplifies data management and offers better value, as you are much less likely to have paid-for data expire before you can use it since it isn't "locked" behind a midnight timer.

How to Buy the New Bundles The purchase process remains the same, but the benefits have been simplified. To convert your airtime:

Dial *379# on your NetOne line.

Select USD Bundles (or use *171# for ZWG bundles).

Choose your preferred package.

Confirm the purchase and enjoy unrestricted browsing.

This update is a major win for NetOne subscribers who have been calling for simpler, more transparent data pricing. By removing the time-based barriers, NetOne is positioning itself as a more user-friendly choice in the competitive Zimbabwean telecoms market.
