ZIMSEC provides an online results portal where candidates, parents, or guardians can access examination results soon after they’re officially released. This includes Grade 7, O Level (Form 4) and A Level (Upper 6 / Form 6) results.
🔗 Step 1 — Go to the Official ZIMSEC Results Portal
Open your web browser (Google Chrome works best).
Visit the ZIMSEC Results Portal: go to www.zimsec.co.zw and click “View Results” or use one of the regional direct portal links depending on where your school is located.
📍 ZIMSEC Regional Portal Links
Use the one that matches your school region (e.g., Harare, Bulawayo, Manicaland):
R1 and R6 (Harare & Masvingo): https://dcmv1.zimsec.co.zw
R2 and R5 (Manicaland & Midlands): https://dcmv2.zimsec.co.zw
R4, R9 & R10 (Matabeleland North, South & Bulawayo): https://dcmv3.zimsec.co.zw
R3, R7 & R8 (Mashonaland East, Central & West): https://dcmv4.zimsec.co.zw
🧑💻 Step 2 — Register a ZIMSEC Account (If First Time)
If you haven’t registered before, you’ll need to create an account:
Click “Register as a New User” on the portal homepage.
Fill in your details:
Centre number (the code for your school)
Candidate number (from your exam entry slip)
Date of Birth
Candidate full name — enter surname first, then first name and middle initial if any (this must match the ZIMSEC records exactly or the system may not find your details).
Create a username and password — keep these safe for future use.
Submit the registration form.
💡 Tip: Use a strong password with at least one capital letter, number, and symbol.
👤 Step 3 — Log In
Once registered successfully:
Return to the portal login page.
Enter your username and password.
Click “Log In.”
📄 Step 4 — Select Your Exam Details
After logging in, you will usually see a menu or field to:
Choose the exam session (e.g., November or June)
Choose the level — Grade 7, O Level, or A Level
Select the year of examination (e.g., 2025 or 2026)
Enter your candidate number and date of birth again (if required)
📊 Step 5 — View and Save Your Results
✔ Once the correct details are entered, your results will appear on the screen.
✔ You can download, print, or screenshot your results for safekeeping — especially since the portal is typically open for only a limited number of days after results are released.
Important: The online portal is usually open for only a short period (often about five days from release). After the window closes, you will need to collect the official printed result slip from your school or examination centre.
🛠️ Troubleshooting & Tips 📶 If the Portal Won’t Open
High traffic during release periods can make the portal slow or unresponsive — try:
Refreshing the page
Checking early morning or late night when fewer users are online
Using a stable internet connection — at least 100 MB of data recommended
📌 If Registration Fails
Double‑check your name spelling and order (surname first).
Ensure your centre number and candidate number exactly match your examination entry slip.
